Group Visits

UMBC welcomes visitors to our campus. In order to accommodate the high volume of requests we receive, this online guide serves as the primary resource for planning group visits. Groups visiting campus may stop by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Orientation for a packet of materials, including UMBC promotional items. Please be sure that students are adequately supervised. We suggest one chaperone per ten students.

UMBC faculty and students strive for the highest levels of accomplishment. In fields from classics and history to molecular biology and computer engineering, students are closely mentored by professors who are recognized leaders in their fields. For spare time, UMBC offers countless activities and resources—from state-of-the-art athletic facilities to dance, music and theater performances. With downtown Baltimore and Washington, D.C. both nearby, there is never a shortage of things to do.
