Research Profiles
Heather Couvillon Rhodes - Chemical Engineering
I've been working in Dr. Lisa Kelly's lab for the last two semesters. Our project is to develop an imaging system for pressure sensitive paints, which will someday find wide application in aerospace, aviation, automobiles and medicine. The work is challenging because in order to come up with a solution, we need to draw on varied disciplines—computer programming, equipment design and fluid dynamics.
Originally, my professor approached me and asked me if I'd like to work in her lab. It's been an incredible experience. It's forced me to try to solve problems on my own and apply things I've only read about in the classroom. She's wonderful to work with.
