Public Health Track
The health administration and policy program (HAPP) is designed for career-oriented students who recognize that health and health care in the United States are major public concerns, and who plan to seek employment in the arena of health administration, research, or policy. Physics Education
UMBC has a long-standing commitment to K-16 leadership in Maryland and the nation. The new B.A. Program in Physics Education reflects that commitment. The program was developed in response to a chronic shortage of secondary school science teachers in Maryland, including a particularly acute shortage of certified high school physics teachers. Drawing on the strength of the research and teaching faculty in physics at UMBC, graduates of the physics education program will inspire generations of high school students to reach their full potential in understanding and mastering concepts in physics.
