Hydroponic Nutrient Study of Red Salvia

The Hydroponics and Red Salvia was studies.  The question was to determine if Red Salvia, an angiosperm, could live without soil.  Also, under study was which nutrients were really essential for Red Salvia’s growth.  A standard hydroponics layout was set up.  Six different nutrients were selected from the nutrient facts on the box of Miracid ®.

Then, based on those standards, four different kinds of nutrient solutions were calculated and made.

For this experiment, it was believed the use of substitution solutions would cause the plants to die.  This hypothesis proved to be supported.  After three days of giving the Red Salvia its artificial nutrients, all the Red Salvia died, expect Subject Three.
