Through Gender and Women's Studies at UMBC, you will learn to understand and articulate how gender makes a difference in everyone's lives. The program will equip you with the knowledge and skills to be successful in the fields of law, education, communications, public service, social service and health.
Options for undergraduates in Gender and Women's Studies include a Major, a Minor and a Certificate. For graduate students, we offer a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate which can be earned independently or in conjunction with graduate work in another field.
We have a small lending library with comfortable chairs and the latest issues of several current feminist periodicals. Students are invited to drop in during regular office hours, Monday thru Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
If you have questions or would like to schedule an appointment for advising, please contact Gender and Women's Studies.
