Women’s Leadership Summit: Women Mentoring Women Network
Wednesday, April 15, 2009 UC 312 12:30 - 1:50 pm
Lee Hawthorne Calizo Acting Director of Student Life
Lee Calizo, who is currently pursuing a doctorate in College Student Personnel at the University of Maryland, College Park, discusses her research on women and mentoring. A mentor is someone with experience that gives advice and support. We all know that having an experienced person willing to advise us is essential to growth, but finding a mentor is usually an informal affair. In this workshop, you will learn about different forms of mentoring, how to find a mentor, and how professional women at UMBC support and nurture each other towards success through a cohort-based approach.
