I am trying to find out something about the Confederate Marine Corps. In 1976 I had a subscription to The Civil War Times Illustrated. They had an ad"You always wanted to be an officer." I answered the ad and was sent a commission as a brevet Colonel in the Confederate Marine Corps. This was the first notice there ever was a C.S.M.C. Thanks for any help you can give me.
Respectfully,
Thomas Paul
