Eat the axel	Play the sralai oboe, whose player takes the reed into his mouth
One ox with ashes	Play the sampho drum, which is tuned using a paste of cooked rice and ashes
Scratch a breast	Play the korng gong circle, a set of bossed gongs which resemble the breast
Look at bamboo	Play the roneat xylophone, whose keys are made of bamboo
Sounds like a cicada	The sound of the roneat dek metallophone is penetrating
Speak one by one	The roneat thung low-pitched xylophone plays a disjunct melody
