Assist with the design, development, testing, and documentation of Web sites/pages. Production support and maintenance of existing applications.
Assist with the development of client business requirements and preparation of specifications, attend meetings and reply to users with basic information HTML programming and Web page development Java development utilizing Webservices, Hibernate and Spring in a web portal platform. Travel between all CareFirst locations may be required.
Qualifications: Required: College Degree or Technical Certification with 1-3 years of experience in Web design, Java development for web-based applications, and Web publishing OR equivalent experience. Ability to respond quickly to production environment demands and to work well within a team environment
A BA/BS in computer science would be a plus.
Candidates must have at 1 - 3 years of experience with the following programming tools or languages, or have an equivalent aptitude in a similar tool or language:
HTML, JavaScript, DHTML, XML, TCP/IP, ASP, IIS, DreamWeaver, Rational Rose, Python, PERL, Websphere, MQSeries.
Abilities/Skills: PC skills, well-developed oral and written skills. Experience in site server tuning and problem resolution.
