GRE/LSAT Prep

GRE TEST PREP -- 8/5-8/26/08 Tuesday Evenings
Addressed exactly to the character of the computerized GRE, our GRE workshops are the most prestigious, original, thorough,and effective prepartion for the GRE available. The Graduate Record Examination Test Workshop provides a thorough preparation for each of the sections of the GRE. Its objectives are to:

1. Increase reading comprehension of difficult material under high time pressure
2. Teach the most successful test management techniques
3. Familiarize students with question types specific to the GRE
4. Teach the logical, rhetorical, and mathematical problem-solving techniques relevant to the GRE
5. Identify the specific problems posed by the GRE, and analyze test-taking errors
6. Review anxiety reduction techniques
7. Improve performance and reduce test anxiety by success in practice testing
8. Learn essential grammatical and mathematical concepts and techniques in application to real test problems
9. Ensure that a test-taker's score represents his or her maximum possible perfomance on the test

It's time to get on the ball! All graduate and undergraduate students graduating May ’09 and December ’08 are invited to join the pros for a full day JOB SEARCH TRAINING CAMP, Saturday, September 13.

Don't be left behind. We're offering an outstanding line up to make sure you're prepared to make it to the major leagues (or at least a paycheck)! Topics covered include:

* Orientation to the on-campus interview program (application deadlines start mid-September!)
* Maximizing UMBCworks, the campus’ online job bank/resume database
* Employer mock interviews and resume critiques
* The art of networking
* The how-to’s of effective job searching
* Building resumes and cover letters
* Interviewing: What employers look for

About the Program

The HRSA Scholars Program is designed to enhance HRSA's ability to recruit, hire, train, develop, and retain high quality individuals for professional positions, as follows:
* Accountant
* Administrative Associate
* Auditor
* Financial Management Specialist
* Grants Management Specialist
* Information Technology Specialist
* Public Health Analyst

The cornerstone of the Scholars Program is a highly structured, individualized, 12-month training and development curriculum that each Scholar must finish to complete the program. Upon completion, Scholars may be promoted to the next appropriate grade-level and are assigned to a permanent position.
