Civilian Recruiting Event for Individuals with Disabilities and Disabled Veterans

WHO?
NAVAIR is seeking individuals with disabilities who are eligible for a non-competitive appointment using the Schedule A hiring authority. To be eligible for Schedule A, you must be intellectually challenged or have severe physical or psychiatric disabilities, and be able to provide medical documentation of the illness.

We are also seeking Wounded Warriors and Veterans eligible for non-competitive hiring authorities. If you have a service-connected disability rating of 30% or more by the Department of Veterans, or are the recipient of a Purple Heart, you may be eligible.

OPENINGS:
We are seeking entry and mid career professionals with a degree in the following fields:
~Engineering (all disciplines) -- Chemistry - Physics
~Computer Science - Business -- Finance and Accounting --Logistics Management

We are seeking entry and mid career professionals without a degree in the following fields:
~Logistics Management and Acquisition

HOW?
Participation in this event will be by invitation only. Eligibility for appointment will be confirmed and invitation will be extended to eligible candidates. To be considered, applicants must submit a resume and supporting documents by 15 Apr 2011.

Documentation is as follows:
-- For Veterans – Resume, a VA Letter and unofficial transcripts (if applicable)
-- For Non-Veterans – Resume, an unofficial transcript and Schedule A letter of eligibility (please do not provide
supporting medical documentation at this stage of the recruiting process)

To submit your application, go to www.navair.navy.mil/jobs and follow these steps:
1) Click on “Submit Resume” button
2) Click on one of the following links
a. Entry-level Engineers & Scientists
b. Entry-level Business, Finance & Logistics
c. Experienced, Students & All Others
3) Click “Submit Your Resume” and fill out the entire questionnaire (upload your transcripts, DD214
or VA Letter (in the DD214 window), Schedule A Letter and resume.
4) For the “How did you hear about us?” pull down menu, select June 15 Civilian Recruiting
5) Select all locations for which you wish to be considered
6) Click on “Submit application”
