About
Dr. Lipi Mukherjee is an Assistant Research Scientist with UMBC’s GESTAR II at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. Her research combines radiative transfer, remote sensing, and machine learning to study clouds, aerosols, and solar–terrestrial interactions, including thermospheric-density forecasting and satellite drag. She serves on NASA’s TSIS-2 Science Team and as GESTAR II Team Lead for Goddard’s Climate and Radiation Laboratory. She earned her Ph.D. in Atmospheric Physics from UMBC and previously held a postdoctoral fellowship at NCAR’s High Altitude Observatory.
