ISEC is currently seeking a CADD Technician to work out of our Eastern Division in our Columbia, MD office.
We are a single source interior trades contractor, with full-service capabilities to manage every phase, from design, engineering, estimating, purchasing and manufacturing to contract administration and installation.

Description:
Responsible for the creation of shop drawings using AutoCAD design software program and Thermo Fisher Hamilton database/graphic software program.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and Direct Sales sketches
2. Prepare shop drawings to include plans, elevations, sections, and construction details for purpose of Owner/Architect approval
3. Obtain exact information from vendors and coordinate all products to ensure they will work with what is drawn and purchased
4. Provide design drawings for Direct Sales
5. Design casework for projects
Preferred Qualifications (in addition to minimum qualifications)
Education/Experience
• AutoCAD certificate or 3 to 5 years CAD experience in any industry
• Previous CAD drafting experience in the laboratory casework or architectural woodwork industry
Knowledge/Skills
• Experience with Fisher Hamilton’s Lab Works software
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 to 2 years CAD experience in any industry
Knowledge/Skills
• Ability to read blueprints and understand specifications
• Effective in meeting deadlines and solving problems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Excellent computer skills
• Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as a team member
