Events/Exhibit Coordinator

The Exhibits/Events Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and support in the execution of exhibits and events. The E/E Coordinator will execute all logistics planning for all regional events, correspond directly with sales force and literature support personnel. Daily entry of data into the E/E module in support of all events, and maintaining budget worksheets/tracking AMEX spend for same. The E/E Coordinator will assist the E/E Supervisor in execution of distributor events and sponsorship programs, as well as inhouse and customer events and workshops. The Coordinator will work directly with exhibit houses to maintain inventory of all portable properties, booth graphics and duraflex graphics in support of E/E program. The E/E Coordinator works closely with outside vendors on promotional and incentive buying in support of E/E program. Position requires domestic and international travel 30%

Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Support E/E program and schedule by coordinating participation at regional and national meetings.
2. Manage portable properties and scheduling for use at regional and internal events.
3. Assist in execution of National, Distributor shows as well as customer technology workshops and roadshows.
4. Coordinate housing and order show services for national and distributor shows.
5. Responsible for entering all AMEX charges into MCIS, as well as maintaining master budget sheets.
6. Maintain all data for exhibits and events in MCIS E/E module. Report details as required.
7. Update schedule for Web Master as well as shipping schedule for Lit Support Staff.
8. Prepare Quarterly E/E Budget Reports.
9. Execute coordination of all in-house events, such as product fairs, VIP visits, WW Team Meetings, etc.
10. Update and maintain correspondence and files in support of E/E program.
11. Provide support on special projects as needed.
12. Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
13. Overall performance is based on effeciency and effectiveness to meet departmental requests.

Qualifications:
Ability to work independently with very little or no supervision. Ability to handle multiple projects with excellent follow-up skills. Must have a functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel). Must be detail-oriented, have the ability to work under deadline pressure; and must be able to deal with unresolved situations, frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events. Must have ability to perform spreadsheet and database maintenance for reporting the status of projects to management. Must have good interpersonal skills, including effective written and oral communication ability. Healthcare industry background desirable.

The Mayor's Office on Criminal Justice seeks a CCTV Administrator. The CCTV Administrator will oversee all administrative aspects of the Baltimore Police Department's centralized CCTV monitoring center at the Atrium. The Administrator will supervise civilian camera monitors and support staff and manage camera contracts related to construction, operation and maintenance. The Administrator will assist with budget management for the CCTV program and seek opportunities for increased funding.

*Duties Include:*
- Contract administration for camera contracts involving construction,
operation, monitoring and maintenance.
- Ensuring that all contract requirements are met on schedule.
- Ensuring proper payments for services rendered from outside sources are
received in a timely manner.
- Day to day oversight of the CCTV budget for staff, equipment, and
facilities.
- Supervising civilian camera monitors.
- Working with BPD staff assigned to monitoring center.
- Serving as a liaison to community organizations.
- Identifying and developing potential funding sources for CCTV projects.

*Qualifications:*
The CCTV Administrator must have knowledge of the principles of project management and contract administration. The ideal candidate will have fundamental knowledge of computer, network and CCTV technologies. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with at least 2 years experience with contract administration and coordination. An additional 2 years supervisory or project management experience is preferred.

*NOTE:* Eligible candidates who are under final consideration for appointment to some positions in this class will be required to authorize the release of criminal conviction information and successfully pass a background and polygraph investigation.

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month. Booz Allen is holding its annual Mentoring Day on October 14 to support those interested in a career in consulting and to raise awareness about how we leverage our employees’ diversities to ensure our success and that of our clients. Mentoring Day, sponsored by our Disability Awareness Forum, features speakers, workshops, and the opportunity to “shadow” a consultant.

If you are a university student or already employed, and are interested in a consulting career, we encourage you to express your interest in taking part in Mentoring Day. All are welcome. Combat veterans and students with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.

National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Research Opportunities

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), the second largest Institute at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), is seeking applicants for its Intramural NIAID Research Opportunities (INRO) program, which provides an invaluable opportunity for students with strong academic standing who are from populations underrepresented in biomedical research.

Looking For: Students with a passion to improve global health in the 21st century through a research career in allergy, immunology, and infectious diseases.

During the 4-day program, students will hear lectures from
world-renowned scientists and interview for potential research training
positions at the Institute's Maryland and Montana laboratories.
