Service-Learning Opportunities for Fall 2008

Attention UMBC Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors:

Are you interested in giving back to your community? Why wait until fall 2008 to find the perfect opportunity? The Shriver Center (1st Floor Public Policy Building) is open all summer to help you find an exciting service-learning position.

For the fall, some of the many service positions available touch kids, teens and adults in and around Baltimore in local schools and community organizations like the YMCA's Multiple Sclerosis Swim Program, Charlestown (Retirement Community), Project Team, College Gardens, Education Based Latino Outreach, and The Learning Bank.

To secure your position for the fall, contact Alesia Hovatter at alesiah1@umbc.edu or Lori Hardesty at lhardesty@umbc.edu . For more details visit The Shriver Center Service-Learning Webpage http://www.shrivercenter.org/service_forms.html and click in the link to
the Service-Learning Opportunities Chart.
