The WASHINGTON INTERNSHIP PROGRAM -- a combination of work and study -- places college students and graduates in top-level internships in our nation's capital. Here are just a few among thousands of places where interns in the program have worked:

United States Congress and Senate, NBC Television (and all other TV stations), The White House, U.S. Commerce Department, Foreign embassies, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Smithsonian Museums, Democratic/Republican National Committees, National Geographic Magazine, Public Defender Service, Brookings Institution, Amnesty International, National Science Foundation, Food and Drug Administration, Environmental Protection Agency, Georgetown Medical Center, etc ...

The WASHINGTON INTERNSHIP PROGRAM guarantees placement in an internship appropriate to your goals and talents. In addition, students are offered an evening course at George Washington University on "Washington and Work"; assistance from a professional editor in crafting resumes, cover letters, and writing samples; and guidance in presenting themselves in a professional manner at phone interviews. Guest speakers, field trips to think-tanks and government hearings, attendance at press-conferences and the filming of television shows, plus plays and concerts are all part of the program. WIP staff members serve as agents for the interns and lobby for their acceptance at the placements of their dreams.

For more information, please attend the event above.
