PAID Java Developer Intern Needed AAP

PYXIS ENGINEERING is interested in hiring a PAID Java Developer Intern. Pyxis Engineering, an exciting new business focusing on Software Engineering, System and Database Administration, Systems Engineering, Information Assurance, and Project Management services for the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community and was also started by a UMBC alum.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Seeking a highly motivated Java developer intern that is eager to learn new technologies and implement large scale solutions. Opportunities exist to engage in Independent Research and Development projects to show advanced capabilities related to service oriented architecture and complex event processing.

Projects will likely require integration of multiple software products from both the open source and commercial industry. Knowledge of cloud computing, map reduce, and SOA is a major plus to include web services, WSDL, and JMS.

Desired Skills and Knowledge
. Object Oriented Programming (C++, Java and JavaEE)
. Hands on knowledge of open source software (JBoss, Spring, Apache)
. Experience using the Eclipse based IDE
. SOAP, WSDL, MTOM, XML Schema, XQuery
. WS-BPEL, SCA, WS-I
. Experience using multiple transport protocols, including JMS, FTP, HTTP/S
. JDBC, SQL, Mysql, Oracle
. Strong leadership and communication skills
. Team player
