Mechanical Engineering Internship with Lion Brothers

Position Description:
Assists in developing and documenting technical knowledge of materials, processes, and products for the Company. Works on projects to improve current products and create new products and processes, including testing and analysis, improvement of current product configuration, product and material innovation and integration of new technology. Develops and tests samples of company products. Evaluates manufacturability of products and fitness for customer use. Assists in performing and analyzing process control activities, including process audits. Works with fibers, yarns, fabrics, thread, thermal plastics, backing, stabilizers, inks and dyes, sublimation, textile finishes.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on individual with the ability to function independently within specified guidelines to meet milestones and objectives. Junior in an Engineering discipline preferred. Exposure to multiple engineering disciplines including Mechanical, Chemical, Materials and Industrial Engineering disciplines preferred. Formal education and/or practical training in Textiles preferred but not required. Intermediate level on the Microsoft Office Suite of software products required.
