This Holiday Season, Find a Way to Give Back

The following organizations are looking for volunteers, and many of them need help with holiday activities. Check out these opportunities!

Florence Crittendon Services (3110 Crittendon Place, Baltimore, MD)
Volunteer Needs: Assist in planning the holiday gift drive (i.e. solicit gifts donations), assist residents in planning a show of some kind (i.e. fashion show), coordinate guest speakers on a wide range of topics (i.e. health, life skills, etiquette, interviewing for jobs, etc.), and lead physical activity classes (i.e. Zuma) for girls ages 13-20. University of Maryland HIV Clinic (827 Linden Avenue, Baltimore, MD)
Volunteer Needs: Assist with planning the annual holiday celebration, organize donation drive for new or gently used animals and toys for children, attend and help out at the annual holiday celebration on Friday, December 18gh. Anne Arundel Department of Social Services (80 West Street, Annapolis, MD)
Volunteer Needs: Help Harmony House (a family visitation center) with organizing projects like one-time events and holiday parties. Volunteers are also needed for supporting activities at the house. For more information, contact Chris Poulson: cpoulsen@dhr.state.md.us or 410.269.4460.

Baltimore City Schools (200 E. North Avenue, Room 211, Baltimore, MD)
Volunteer Needs: Provide tutoring to high school students, conduct classes on etiquette for middle and high school girls (to build character and self-esteem), or help conduct indoor/outdoor festivals to help raise money for senior activities and/or obtain donations for senior activities. Phoenix Therapeutic Foundation (5601 Baltimore National Pike, Suite 508, Baltimore, MD)
