Several PAID Leadership Positions in Service

The Shriver Center has several PAID Service-Learning Leadership Positions available for Spring 2009:

• The Project Team program works with youth to stress teamwork and unity through fun and creative group activities. (Mondays and Wednesdays 4- 7 pm)
• The Adult Literacy Program provides literacy and math skills training to a diverse population of adults.
(Thursdays 5-8:30pm)
• The College Gardens Youth Program provides academic tutoring and assistance for artistic and recreational activities as part of this after-school program. (Monday & Wednesday, 2:15-5:45pm).
• POLI 309: Our Civic Voices assists 6th grade Social Studies students from local school to develop greater civic awareness and in writing targeted constituency letters to government officials. Candidates must have taken and passed POLI 100 with at least a “B.” (Monday& Wednesday, 2:30-3:45pm)
