Girl Scout Clean-up in Arbutus Needs Volunteers!

A Project Clean Stream is scheduled for Sunday, March 27th (Sunday, April 3rd is the inclement weather date). The Girl Scouts of SU51 will be working in and around Herberts Run from approximately 1 to 5 p.m. for this service project and welcome UMBC students who can assist with this service activity!

Two pieces of Herbert's Run flow through UMBC campus. One of the I-195 side of the loop, orginating from the pond located just below the highway access road and makes its way to Shelbourne Road between the stadium and the driving range. The other feeder stream originates at the property fence on the opposite side of the campus and flows down toward Poplar Avenue before crossing underneath Shelbourne Road.

The coordinator for the clean-up, Theresa Spliedt, will be on the Super Fresh parking lot on East Drive starting at approximately 12:30 p.m. on the day of the clean up with trash bags and gloves for volunteers. Please email Theresa if you are interested in volunteering (girlscout496@yahoo.com) with the Girl Scouts!
