Software Development Internship at MICROS Systems

This Internship position is located at our offices in Columbia, MD.
In this position you will gain valuable experience in software design, coding, and testing while working with a team of top-notch professionals. And most importantly, you’ll have new challenges at every turn.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your Role: You will be working in the Restaurant Research and Development department working with product management, software development, and/or testing. The exact responsibilities will be customized to each applicant based on their experience, areas of interest, and the companies projects.
Some of the activities you may be involved:

Gather and analyze competitor and market information
Work with customers to match product needs with user requirements
Participate in Proof of Concept projects by developing software components
Research and Test new hardware components
Assist in defining, writing and extending application test cases
Develop, execute and analyze regression, functional, and performance test plans and scripts
Investigate, analyze and understanding business needs as they relate to application functionality
Document, track, and escalate issues in detail and as appropriate
Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
Present your projects to your peers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Pursuing a BS or MS degree in Computer Sciences or related major; open to candidates with the equivalent skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
Can work on your own but know when to ask for help.
