The E-Teacher Professional Development Workshop will also provide many cultural activities which will take advantage of UMBC's prime location in the mid-Atlantic region of the United States. These activities will include trips to New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, DC. There is also a home-stay where participants experience a Maryland-style crab feast to give a taste of a local summer Baltimore tradition. Finally, on the last day of the Workshop, participants have a Culture Night where they have an opportunity to share the music, dance, food, art, and traditional dress from their country.
