I am about to start working on my dissertation, which will focus on 19th century British culture. This database would be GREAT for my research; however, I was unable to log in. I tried both numbers on my UMBC ID card, but neither worked ...

Janet Hack:

You will need to either use the UMBC VPN (Virtual Private Network) or a UMBC direct dial connection in order to access the trial databases from off-campus. Please see http://aok.lib.umbc.edu/services/remoteaccess.php for more information on connecting from off-campus.
