Library Basics - Workshop for Students

This workshop is designed to provide undergraduate students with the basic knowledge of a university library's resources and services in order to help them succeed at UMBC. It covers topics such as managing your library account, using catalogusmai and journal databases, reading LC call numbers, and the various ways to get assistance. The September 15 workshop will be delivered in person in the Library instruction room, while the September 23 workshop will available as an online workshop in which participants can login from any computer with internet access. Participants will also be able to get personal assistance from a librarian during the sessions.

September 15, 2009; 4:30-5:30 – In person workshop in LIB 259
September 23, 2009; 4:30-5:30 – Online workshop (participants will receive instructions upon registering)
