Cambridge Computer - LISA Annual Conference - 11.6.13

Data Storage Day at the USENIX LISA Conference
You are invited to the 2013 USENIX/LISA Data Storage Day, an event focused on the latest trends in data storage technologies at the Large Installation Systems Administration Conference on November 6th, 2013. LISA is the premier conference for hands-on system administrators, where the presentations are delivered by industry experts (i.e., the people who write the technical books and articles), not by product manufacturers.

The program is offered at no-cost to IT professionals.

Lecture Topics:
• Storage Virtualization and the Evolution of Storage Networking
• Application and File System Acceleration with Solid State Storage
• A Crash Course on Object-Based Storage
Who is the intended audience and will it be worth your time? The lecture materials are intended for a hands-on technical audience: system administrators, disaster recovery planners, data center managers, etc. The content assumes a working knowledge of storage, backup system principles, networks and servers. The course content is particularly useful to those who are responsible for architecture and for general IT strategy.

Why is the event at-no cost to me? The LISA Conference is put on by the USENIX Association in cooperation with LOPSA. Both institutions are world-class non-profit organizations, and as an IT professional, they are making this content available to you. We are offering this program at no cost to help promote the LISA conference and these organizations. Our hope is that you will be thoroughly impressed by the quality of the course content and consider participating in future activities and events.

Do you have to take a full day out of the office or can you catch just a portion? The program runs from 9:00am to 3:15pm, but it is broken down into 3 separate lectures with a lunch break in the middle. Feel free to arrive late or leave early.
